Where do you even start at a perfume counter with hundreds of perfumes? Finding a perfume you love shouldn’t feel like guesswork.

We believe fragrance discovery should start with you. And maybe your zodiac sign could help.

“What’s your sign?” has always been a fun shortcut to personality. So we wondered: if your zodiac sign can say something about who you are, could it also say something about the scents you’re drawn to?

That question became Zodica Perfumery.

How We Created the Zodiac Perfumes

AN IDEA WORTH TESTING

We wanted to see if your sun sign could actually influence the scents you love.

So we did something no other astrology perfume brand had done: we put the idea to the test.

To find out, we spent three years on research and development, including getting feedback from hundreds of women from every zodiac sign. We took what we learned and developed the twelve zodiac fragrances.

The result? In our blind scent studies, women had an 80% chance of liking the fragrance created for their own sign.

That process became the foundation of Zodica—and a completely different way to discover perfume.

Founder Kristi Moe has always loved perfume, but as someone with migraines and scent sensitivity, perfume hasn’t always loved her back.

She knew how easily fragrance could become triggering. That experience helped shape perfumes designed to be expressive without overwhelming sensitive noses.

10 Years of Zodica Perfumery

A DECADE IN THE MAKING

First Market in 2016

Every journey starts somewhere. In Zodica's early years, every perfume was hand-poured, labeled, and packed in founder Kristi Moe's apartment in Dallas, Texas. Weekends were spent at local farmers markets, where Kristi introduced customers to the idea of "smelling your zodiac sign" one conversation at a time.

Zodica on QVC

QVC played an important role in Zodica's early growth. Over the years, founder Kristi Moe appeared live on the QVC Beauty Channel multiple times, sharing the story behind Zodica and introducing thousands of viewers to the magic of discovering their zodiac scent.

Zodica Expanded into Boutiques

Since its launch, Zodica has grown into more than 500 boutiques, salons, and spas across the United States. Partnering with independent retailers has allowed us to share our passion for astrology-inspired fragrance with customers from coast to coast, from Hawaii to New York.

Opening Madison Flagship Store

Zodica opened its first flagship store in Monroe, Wi, in 2018 before relocating to Madison in 2023. In September 2024, the brand welcomed customers to its new downtown Madison flagship, where you can explore the full collection and create your very own custom perfumes!

Zodica in Free People

Partnering with Free People had been at the top of Zodica's vision board for years. That dream became a reality in 2025 when our award-winning Hair Perfume Serum launched in Free People stores. Later that holiday season, we collaborated on an exclusive Free People Body Mist, marking another exciting chapter in the Zodica story.

Beyond the Zodiac Perfumes

THE STORY CONTINUES.

The original twelve zodiac perfumes remain at the heart of Zodica, but the idea has continued to expand.

Our Wanderlust Collection explores the astrology of place, creating destination fragrances inspired by the cosmic story of when each location was founded. Our Aura Mist Collection distills the zodiac into the four elements of Fire, Earth, Air and Water. And at our Madison flagship, Bespoke Perfume Blending makes the experience completely individual.

They may tell different stories, but they all come back to the same idea:
